Handmade House Centipede Insect Earrings in Copper & Sterling Silver

One part creepy, one part beautiful. Show the world that there is beauty beyond the obvious places. You just have to look a little harder for it and be brave when you find it.

These earrings are designed to be a mismatched pair, but you can order two with black silhouettes or two with black backgrounds if you would prefer a matched set.  Just specify when you order and I will be more than happy to oblige.

These earrings are completely handmade in the USA by the designer from pure sterling silver and custom-etched copper plates.

The copper plates on the earrings measure 7/16" (1.1 cm) x 7/8" (2.2 cm) -- the total drop adds about 3/4" for a total length of 1-5/8" (4.1 cm)

THE PROCESS:

After preparing the art for this design, I use an acid bath to etch the artwork deep into the copper plates. The copper plates and sterling silver components are then soldered together using good, old-fashioned silversmithing techniques . The completed earrings were then polished, hand patinated, then polished again to restore the gorgeous, bright copper glow.

These are made-to-order, so please allow 1-2 weeks for completion.
