Shipping policy

All items are made-to-order, unless specified as ready-to-ship.  Please refer to individual item descriptions for a more specific manufacturing timetable.  Most items will ship within 1-2 weeks, while a few items require up to 3.  Custom orders (i.e. items that are agreed upon to be altered in some specific way) may take up to 4 weeks or more.  Basic domestic USPS shipping is Ground Advantage which takes 3-5 business days, but expedited shipping options are available if you need the item sooner.  If you are working with a tight deadline, please make sure to contact us asap and let us know so we can expedite your order — we would hate to miss your special date!

All items are shipped boxed and ready to gift!  All packaging is biodegradable and recyclable.  Items come in a certified eco-friendly and attractive premium cardboard jewelry box. Items also come with an unbleached cotton keepsake pouch.  

A couple of notes regarding international orders:

This shop is located in the USA. If this is an international order, the following *may* apply to you and your order!  If there is any issue at all with the following info, please notify me within 24 hours of having placed an order:

1) Additional fees may be charged by *your country* in the form of customs fees &/or taxes when your order arrives in your country. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for these additional fees/taxes. If this will be an issue for you and you think you may need to cancel your order, please check with your local postal service asap to ask about any additional fees that you may be expected to pay upon receipt of this jewelry/accessory order from the USA.  Please note that once your item has shipped, I won’t be able to cancel the sale and issue a refund until the item is returned to me — and I will only be able to refund you for the item itself, not the shipping fee, as that is unrecoverable once the item has shipped.

 2) Please also note when placing an international order, unless you purchase UPS shipping, you will need to allow for extra time to receive your order. Some countries may take up to 4 weeks to clear your order through customs before delivering it to you.  Additionally, some countries may currently be experiencing delivery issues due to natural disasters or conflicts that may even further delay receiving your order.  For this reason, I can’t always guarantee specific delivery dates to locations outside of the USA. Once your order leaves the USA, there may not be much I can assist you with, if there is a delay or issue with shipping, but I will of course provide you with all of the tracking information that you need or any additional information should your local postal service request any.  

3) If you are looking to have items shipped internationally and you have never purchased items from the USA before, you may also want to consider visiting my shop on Etsy: metalclothandwood.etsy.com  Etsy often collects taxes up front for many countries and if you have any question as to whether or not you are even able to purchase items from the USA, Etsy knows a lot more than I do.

4) Basic international shipping is USPS First Class International Shipping, but expedited options are also available as well as UPS. International orders vary widely in delivery times.  If you are purchasing a gift internationally and you have a specific date you need your order to arrive, it is always a good idea to allow for an additional 4 weeks, beyond the 5-15 business day manufacturing time, for delivery.  If this is not an option, UPS is recommended as it will arrive the soonest, but please be aware there is often a broker's fee with UPS when the item arrives, and you will be responsible for paying that.  Brokers fees vary, but customers have reported back to me that the fee can be almost as much as the item itself!
