The perfect statement necklace for you or your favorite bird lover! This necklace will instantly fancy-up a simple dress or compliment your fave dressy outfit — and geese are ALWAYS in season 🥰
This goose design was originally a custom request, but it came out so beautifully, I had to add it to the shop! The goose was created using a method known as lost-wax casting. The original goose was hand-carved in wax. A plaster mold is then formed around the wax and the wax goose is melted out of the mold, leaving an empty cavity inside the plaster in the same shape as the goose. Molten metal is then poured into the mold's cavity which cools and solidifies in the exact same shape as the original wax. It's an ancient process and it's really still the best way to make detailed, organic shapes for jewelry.
This necklace is made entirely from bronze. The sturdy bronze cable chain features a hand-fabricated, easy-but-secure toggle closure. The length shown in the photos is 16.5" — scroll through the photos to see this length modeled on a petite individual for reference. You can select to have this necklace made in lengths up to 22"
You also have the option to have this necklace engraved on the back for an even more personalized touch!
This necklace was completely hand-crafted and was designed and assembled by me, in Jersey City, NJ, USA, using good, old-fashioned metal-smithing techniques!
