Double Trouble

double ring solopreneur

😔  I had to drop my double rings.  All of them. In silver, in brass and in bronze.  They will no longer be available to purchase anywhere, on any platform.

This ring design has brought with it so much drama, I just can't anymore; first, Etsy flagged it as a dangerous weapon, then Google did the same.  It took forever to fix the issue and get the listings for this design back up and running, but that aside, there were still these problematic customers that this design just seemed to keep drawing in!  Not every customer who bought this ring, to be sure — I sold a good many of them to some very lovely folks — but the problem customers know who they are and what they did and I'll leave it there.  The "final straw" came today; I received an order for this design that was immediately flagged by the platform as a "high risk", meaning it's very likely to be a fraudulent purchase.  So as soon as I canceled it, I said "That's IT!" and I took every. single. listing. down.

The thing is, though, I LOVE this design.  And I would love to make more of them for other folks.  I wear my silver and bronze ones all the time.  And I hate that it came to this, but I can only take so much aggravation.  My time is so limited as a solopreneur and I just don't have the bandwidth required to sell this ring anymore. As a female business owner, maybe this is just par for the course, unfortunately.  You're just a target for some folks and you have to dodge the bullets as best you can.  Thankfully, I have my very supportive, 6' tall, loving husband to bolster me up.  It's a scary world out there and if I've learned anything, it's that I need to post more pictures of my husband.  Did I mention he's tall?  And that he works out, too?
